Automate network changes without losing control

Write a change once as a vendor-neutral template, preview it across the fleet, and send each device's diff for approval. Your own collectors apply what is approved, never during a blackout window, and a fresh backup confirms what each device runs.

What changes

Four problems network teams bring to us

  • Changes typed by hand, one device at a time

Baselines and templates are written once and translated into each platform's commands. A fleet preview checks up to 10,000 devices without touching them, and one step files a change request for each device that is ready.

  • Nobody knows what changed

Scheduled SSH backups cover 30 network OS families and keep a new version only when a configuration changes. Drift shows changes made outside a request, and problems list recent changes beside the alerts.

  • Automation nobody trusts

Preview checks block risky changes such as turning Telnet on, approvals and maintenance windows follow your policies, and workflows can file change requests but never apply them.

  • Credentials scattered across scripts

Device credentials sit in a write-only vault. A collector on your network gets a credential only for the job it is running, and devices never need to reach the internet.

Rollout

Back up first, then automate

Our solutions engineers plan each phase with your network and security teams.

  1. 01Back up every deviceInstall a collector next to your devices, add credentials to the vault and schedule SSH backups, so history and drift start building.
  2. 02Set your baselinesTurn your standards into baselines, such as time synchronization and remote logging, and run compliance rules on every backup.
  3. 03Change through requestsPreview changes across the fleet, approve them, deploy them in your maintenance windows, and let workflows file requests from alerts or schedules.

FAQ

Questions network teams ask first

Which platforms can Tracix change?
Tracix backs up 30 network OS families over SSH. It applies changes on Cisco IOS, NX-OS and IOS-XR, Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, Fortinet FortiOS, Palo Alto PAN-OS and VyOS, with NETCONF and gNMI scoped writes on Arista EOS and Nokia SR Linux.
Can Tracix install firmware?
Not yet. Today Tracix uploads images and stages them on devices over SFTP with SHA-512 verification. Installation and rollback are on the roadmap.
Does AI change devices on its own?
No. Brain can draft intent and research a translation for people to review, and an AI translation always needs an approver other than the person who submitted it.
Do our devices need internet access?
No. Devices only talk to a collector on your network, and the collector connects out to your workspace.
