Fewer tools, one version of every incident

Tracix puts application, infrastructure and network monitoring, network configuration management and security on one collector and one workspace with its own database. Alerts from every area fold into the same problems, so nobody rebuilds the story across tools.

What changes

Four problems teams bring to a consolidation project

  • Three tools, three versions of the incident

Alerts from applications, infrastructure, network devices and security detections fold into one problem, with its suspected cause and the changes made just before it.

  • An agent for every tool

One OpenTelemetry collector, managed by policy, gathers traces, metrics, logs, SNMP data and flows, and every product area works from what it collects.

  • Network and security in their own silos

Device monitoring, configuration management and threat detection sit beside your applications, so a port error or a detection is context for every team, not a ticket in another tool.

  • A migration nobody can afford to get wrong

Keep paging through PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Slack or Teams, send Prometheus Alertmanager alerts into problems while you move, and translate supported Splunk SPL and Sentinel KQL searches into Sigma rules.

Rollout

Run side by side, then retire the overlap

Our solutions engineers plan each phase with the owners of the tools you are replacing.

  1. 01Start with one team's stackInstall collectors and instrument one application, its hosts and the devices it depends on, alongside the tools you run today.
  2. 02Move alertingCreate monitors from templates, route problems to the channels your teams already use, and point Alertmanager at your workspace.
  3. 03Retire the overlapBring in device monitoring, configuration backups and detections on the same data, then switch off the agents you no longer need.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before they switch

Can Tracix import our dashboards and monitors from another tool?
Not today. Monitors and dashboards are Tracix objects: start from the built-in templates, or keep them as code in Git. Alerts from Prometheus Alertmanager, or any system that can call a webhook, can join problems while you migrate.
Do we have to replace our paging tool?
No. Route problems to PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhooks or your email gateway. If you want to move paging too, Tracix has on-call schedules and escalation policies of its own.
Can we bring our detection rules?
Sigma rules import from a paste, a file or a Git repository. A migration assistant translates the supported subset of Splunk SPL and Sentinel KQL into Sigma rules for you to review, and refuses what it can't translate, with the reason.
Who helps with the move?
Our engineers can run it with you as a parallel run: Tracix beside your current tools, comparing what each one sees, until you are ready to retire the old agents.
